The White Sturgeon is the largest species of freshwater fish found in North America. With the largest recorded size caught on the Fraser River at a whopping 3.8m ( 12' 4'' ) and an estimated weight of 1100 lbs.  Their appearance has remained mostly unchanged over the last 175 million years making them a Dinosaur among us. Fishing for Sturgeon is strictly catch and release allowing future generations the ability to experience these remarkable creatures. With a less than 1% mortality rate when properly handled you can rest assured that once caught and photographed these fish will live on. Sturgeon fishing is available 12 months of the year with certain times being more productive. Contact us and we will help plan your trip around these prime times!

The Fraser River and its Tributaries host the return of all 5 species of Pacific Salmon: 

Chinook

Coho

Sockeye

Chum

Pink

When regulations allow, we are able to target these species of fish. It is not uncommon to combine a few hours of Salmon fishing on your charter while chasing other species on the river.

Here at Action Sturgeon Charters we understand that there are various skill levels of anglers. From the novice to the seasoned professional, we pride ourselves in making everyone feel comfortable on the boat. We will put you onto the fish and all you have to do is hang on for the ride (and reel like crazy). We will provide you with all the necessary advice you will need to land that trophy fish and be the envy of all your friends. Kids are always welcome on the boat, as a father one of my favorite things to see is the joy on my kids faces when they reel in a fish. Teaching a kid to fish provides them with a hobby that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
